NBC is the oldest of the traditional "Big Three" American television networks, having been formed in 1926 by the Radio Corporation of America (RCA). At that time RCA was owned by General Electric (GE), Westinghouse, AT&T Corporation, and United Fruit Company. In 1932, GE had to sell RCA and NBC due to antitrust charges.
The Rockford Files aired on the NBC network from September 13, 1974 to January 10, 1980 originally airing Fridays at 9:00-10:00 pm.
